Guided by scholars Mery Cuesta (curator of the exhibition "Quinquis de los 80," 2009) and Tom Whittaker (author of The Spanish Quinqui Film, 2021), this original featurette made to accompany Severin Films' stateside release of a trilogy of Eloy de la Iglesia Quinqui films explores this explosive subgenre and the tragic young stars whose legacy it cemented.
